Getting Closer to Home [Closed to Hermione]
Sooner or later Dean figured the beast would get someone he cared about. Maybe Red had been just a convenient lay, and a pretty friggen good one, but it was hard for him not to care about the few people he'd met on the Island.
He'd never admit it, but it was true.
And the moment he'd heard that Hermione had been attacked his heart had twinged ever so slightly. If the thing was going to start attacking people like Hermione then it was time for the damn beast to get caught and sent back to Hell, or wherever it had come from.
He nudged open the door to her room in the Med Centre, and stuck his head around it to see if she was asleep, or had company. He knew Harry was her best friend, so he wouldn't have been surprised to find the cop sitting by her bedside. He wasn't, and Dean offered a smile as he pushed the door open the rest of the way and slipped in.
"You forget how you're own fairytale goes, Red? You know that you're supposed to be the one to defeat the Big Bad Wolf, right?"
