[OPEN] A Journalist & Her Dog.

Sarah Jane stepped outside and smiled as the sun hit her. After much debating with K-9 she’d decided, to hell with it, she was going to enjoy herself. How often did people find themselves on a relaxing resort? Though with the odd barking noise she had heard last night she wasn’t sure how relaxing her stay was going to be. “Well now that I have a job I think we should do some serious shopping,” She looked behind her, waiting for her old friend to catch up.

“Affirmative Mistress,” K-9 agreed as he joined her, his ears spinning as he scanned the surrounding area. “Suggest you acquire multiple items of clothing Mistress.”

"You don't like my outfit K-9?" Sarah Jane frowned and looked down at what she was wearing. An old pair of jeans, her favourite pair of boots, and a long sleeved white shirt with a grey tank over the top of it. There was nothing wrong with that. In fact Maria had told her she looked ‘cool’ so clearly it wasn’t that bad. And if he really didn’t think it was appropriate then he should have mentioned something before they left the room.

That would have to be added to his programming.

"Insecurity noted," K-9 rolled back slightly as if he was trying to put distance between them before he continued. "Your clothing is not conducive to possible permanent stay on Island Mistress. Suggest Summer attire more suitable."

"Well when you put it like that..." She smiled down at him and motioned for him to follow as she headed for the mall. "Come on then. And for your information, I wasn't being insecure."

"Filing information Mistress," K-9 assured her, partly because it had been and partly just to amuse her.

With a bright grin, Sarah Jane wondered what sort of adventures she could get into on the Island. Though it seemed just meeting the people that arrived was enough of an adventure. At least nothing could go wrong. She hooked her thumb into her pocket and could just feel the cold metal of her sonic lipstick tucked safely away... just in case. You could never be too careful.
