I bought a handheld body fat analyzer yesterday and learned an unsavory statistic. Even though my weight is in the middle of the "healthy" range for my height, I have the body fat of an obese person (30%)! I've read that these handheld machines aren't really that accurate, but I've tested mine several times in the last few days before and after eating, going to the bathroom, etc., and the results were always within a few tenths of a percentage point from each other. It makes since that my rapid weight gain last year would be mostly fat and also accounts for my shitty metabolism.

It's no wonder my body is in such a sad state, though. I'm still binging a lot, and today I ate around 900 calories but only burned 270. I don't eat well enough to have a strong, healthy body, but I eat too much and too irratically to reach my goals.

Speaking of goals, it's time I spelled out a new plan for myself. My birthday is the last week in April, and I'd love to enter legal adulthood weighing no more than 130 pounds. That means I only have to lose about 1.5 pounds a week, which is definitely achievable. After that, I'll probably just try to maintain until I get to college, then try to drop another 15-20 pounds there.
