In which we enjoy the perks of working for The Voice

hawkhaslanded and I scored press passes for Groundhog Day and enjoyed free coffee and cookies while the rest of Punxey froze. (And it was mighty freezing for a day on which early spring was predicted.)

Amusingly, on the drive down Michael was saying how much he wanted an early spring, since he's never had one predicted in all the years he's been going. I commented that with global warming screwing with the weather, it wouldn't surprise me. (Note previous post...)

When they make the actual prediction, there are two little poem-ey thingies, one for spring and one for winter. The poem this year actually mentioned global warming in it. A little weird maybe, but I'm not complaining. It was wicked cold yesterday. Bring on the spring!

Check out Mike's account of the morning, it's a lot more fun than mine. Pictures will also be forthcoming as soon as I get back to my own comp and cardreader.
