Every year since her mother’s passing, she visited her gravesite. She always brought a bouquet of white lilies, her mother’s favorite. Since Sophie’s departure, she carried one purple rose to add to the bouquet because in the 57 days she had the little girl, Gillian was quite sure that it was Sophie’s favorite color

This is perfect. I love how you wove in Gillian's mother into how Gillian felt about being a mother herself, and losing everything and gaining a sort-of family. I really enjoyed reading this, thank you <3

MAYBE. ;)
This is beautiful. Thank you! I couldn't believe the lack of hospital reactions scenes we got, and this fills the gaps beautifully. My favourite bit? This, because it is just so Reynolds, and so Gillian:
He’ll wake up and crack jokes about how a freight train ran him over, keep the bullets as souvenirs and wear his scars proudly. She’s as sure of this as the life thrumming beneath his skin.

I couldn't believe the lack of hospital scenes and reactions too! ;alskdfjal;sdkfj And it was Reynolds' last ep! I was going to write a filler scene with Gillian at his bedside, so when I saw this prompt, it gave me the perfect excuse and inspiration to do it. So thank you.
That line you chose was my favorite and hardest line to write. I couldn't find a way to say that correctly and it took me a while, but I'm so glad it worked. Because I could see Reynolds just shrugging it off and Gillian believing in him as he believes in Cal.

Title: Together Cal/Gillian, gen, 1000 words, PG-13 He didn’t know what to do. Having years of experience knowing what people where feeling before they knew it themselves based on the slightest twitch of their facial muscles had decimated his ability to be surprised by someone. He knew he had blind spots, but he hadn’t realized how big they were. How in the world had he missed such a big secret? Emily was no open book, but he could read her

I love it!
You've captured the ease of his relationship with Gillian and I love the bit about the three people he can trust shrinking to two.
Gorgeous ♥
