Title: though the strands fall from her ponytail
Cal/Gillian, 2x20 Exposed missing scene, angst, pg

Words: 710

Author’s Notes: Thank you to my beta, tempertemper77 for looking over this so quickly and for catching the silly mistakes my tired mind let slip! This is set during Exposed between the second-to-last and last scenes.

“I’m fine,” she finally says, but knows her voice is quiet and her words don’t quite ring true. )

Oh. Perfect. I've missed you your fic.

I love the imagery and oh, him tying back her hair, I'm not sure why that affected me so much, but it did. :)

I sort of wondered why, as tired as I am, I logged on tonight, now I know it was this fic calling to me. It was the perfect end to a pretty great, though nerve wracking (call back interview. ;) ) day.

I'm glad you bridged the gap between her tears in the hospital and her bright, Cal-smiles, at the cafe. I like thinking it went like this. Thanks for sharing!!

Hee, thanks!

One of the things I love most about them is how touchy-feely they are, so him tying her hair up was a natural progression in my mind. :) I'm impressed to hear that my fic is able to call out to you ;) I'm glad it was part of a nice end to your day, though! How did the call back interview go? Well, I hope!

You're welcome; thank you!

Sorry it's taken so long to reply. The call-back went so well, they hired me. ;) So I'm working (finally!) now, in an Estate Agents. Lots and lots of training but...I'm enjoying it.

I'm still really looking forward to the plot!fic, by the way. ;)

Aah that's amazing, well done! Let me know how it goes!

Thank you :) I'm waiting to see what goes down in the LTM finale tonight (tomorrow for us) because I feel I may need to rewrite things, but I'm quite excited about it actually as it might help to propel the story forward if what I think is going to happen happens.

Thank you! :D It's going well so far. SO much training but I'm enjoying myself; meeting new people and learning the job. It's cutting harshly into my fic writing (:P) but I'll find the balance soon enough. ;)

Ooo, I get to see that ep tomorrow night! Can't wait. :D
