Summary Sam and Dean have a little free time between two apocalypses, which allows Sam to burry himself in old case files of the Men of Letters' library. Soon enough, he convinces Dean to go on a hunt to retrieve a mysterious stone which has to power to turn anyone who touches it into an animal. The brothers take all the precautions necessary, but Winchester's luck being what it is... Dean is hit by the stone and has to spend the three following weeks in the form of a fennec. It could be worse, right?

A fennec is a cat-sized mammal of the fox species, which can be found in North Africa. It is getting more and more popular as a house pet. Here's what it looks like, first, a very young one, then an adult one.

About that story. Since RL hasn't been that great for me lately, and very stressful, I wanted to write something without angst, a tiny bit of hurt and TONS of comfort. I asked my friend disneymagics what kind of prompt would go with what I wanted to write and she picked the subject -after a choice of three different animals -there was an elf howl and a ferret- we decided on the fennec, an animal so cute it doesn't even seem real. So, that story is for you as much as for me, disneymagics. It's a slice of sweetness, dear readers, nothing else, because that's what I needed. You won't find any drama in it. Regarding its place on the timeline, it happens sometimes in the near futur, the darkness and Lucifer have been vainquish somehow, even though it's not specified.
