art *runs away, hiding*

Ok so the thing is, I'm learning to draw -well, by myself- and I worked on several drawings, none of them any good, and have been spamming my dear friend disneymagics with various attempts at drawing characters from her stories, mostly tiny naked fairy Jensen and her heartbreaking Jensen from her Innocent Verse.

She posted my last two drawings with her latest chapter, and I'm awfully embarassed, but in the same time, if I don't post my art here, I'm not doing my job of pimping my best friend's wonderful story: the Innocent verse so here goes, and please, please be gentle because I know my drawings are not very good, it's a learning process.

My... technique, gosh, it makes me blush to even call this a technique, I don't know what I'm doing but... I do a sketch, then I colour it with drawing pencils, I add effect with a technique where you use oil to spread and join the colours together. Then I scan it, and I add effects on pixlr. That's about it.

The first two are Jensen from the Innocent verse with his stuffed bunny, Mr. Bun. The second one is supposed to be like it would be a picture Jared had taken... maybe?

This last one is not demonstrating my drawing skills, LOL. In the story, Jensen, a young, very traumatized young man who's regressed severely, is learning to draw with the encouragements of his psychiatrist. So this drawing is supposed to be the three persons that are important in his life. He draws Jared bigger than the others and right in the middle of the page because it's the most important person for him. He draws Christian (Kane) in his police officer uniform because he's the one who rescued him, and it reassures Jensen. He draws Misha, the paramedic who helped save his life, with his typical fashion tastes and a stethoscope because he still takes care of his health.

Kids -or, as in Jensen's case, someone who's regressed to a child state, will draw themselves in different ways depending of how they perceive themselves in the world, that's why Jensen draws himself in a corner, really smaller than the others. The zigzag black line on his chest is a scar, from when his mother tried to kill him and he was saved in extremist. In my mind, Jensen's scar is always present in his mind, because it marks the step where his life has changed. So, yes, that's Jensen drawing. Poor little guy. :(
