I got tears in my eyes reading how desperate Jared was to do his part in keeping Benton Glass in jail forever, to make sure that he remembered everything, and that the judge knew how badly Jensen had been hurt as well. He is quite brave. And the part where Jared goes to visit Jensen in the hospital and Jensen needs him to get in the bed with him...guh.
It's so awesome of you to comment even if you've already read this part,bb. Preparing it to be posted, I felt this urge to hug this young Jared in my arms. <3
You're doing an excellent job with Jared's seven year old point of view. His family are walking on eggshells and it's frustrating for him but he's been through so much and they're angry and hurt on his behalf. He's changed and they're all trying to help. The way Jensen only opens up for Jared is feeding Jared's protectiveness of the younger boy but it's sad he's the only person Jensen is talking to. Jared has Laina and Jensen really needs a Laina, too. I know she's his doctor but it doesn't seem like he's able to talk about what happened with anybody yet.
This brought tears to my eyes: Jared tells everything, and when Jeffrey thanks him and tells him how brave he’s been, how important what he just did is, he bursts out crying. He didn’t think that would happen, and it surprises him because he’s choking and he can’t stop, even if he wants to. That post interview tsunami of emotion felt very real.
