There are 52 pictures to come. And a youtube video. First, an account of the weekend.
It all started Thursday morning, when I arrive about half an hour late picking Meg up. And then Meg forgot her ticket for the Philly show, so we had to turn around and go get it. Luckily we were only about 10 minutes away from her house.
And then there was a mostly uneventful drive, except for when we got stuck in traffic in NY, on the way to the Tappan Zee Bridge. For about an hour. To travel what should have taken 15 minutes. We eventually got to my friend's Sarah's house by about 5 pm. So it took us about 6 and a half hours to get there, when it should have taken 5 and a half. Fine. We were ready to just go in, change, and leave for the concert, but Sarah hadn't taken a shower yet. So we didn't end up leaving until 6. We didn't get to the concert til about almost 7:30. And it was already packed there. Meg, Sarah and I met Meg's friend Chris there. She was very nice and cool. Meg, Chris, and I ended up pushing our way up close to the stage, but Sarah left before Draco and the Malfoys went on, because she got freaked out by the Hungarian Horntails.
Hungarion Horntails- so CUTE!
Draco and the Malfoys- so much FUN!
Harry & the Potters- so AWESOME! I got to yell SPEW again. That makes 4 out of 6 concerts. Rock on. During The Wrath of Hermione, Paul came up to me, made a face, and clapped me on the shoulder. Random. Still haven't gotten a hug from either of them during The Weapon. That is my new goal. I took pictures of Chris with Paul and Joe. When I was taking her picture with Joe, I had just eaten Skittles, and my hand was all red. I wiped it off on my tank top. My WHITE tank top. And then I realized what I did, so I just licked off the red stickiness. I'm pretty sure he was like "wtf?" Then, when I took her picture with Paul, it was another awkwardly awesome moment. At first, he was just like "hey" to me, like he recognized me, but he didn't know where from. And then he was saying something like "I hope you guys get to go to another show" or something, because Chris mentioned how it was her first H&tPs concert. So I said "I'll be seeing you in 2 days" and held up 2 fingers. So he held up 2 fingers, and was like "2? Ok" and then gave me a thumbs up.
Friday, we went to see Braxton Parker perform at Club 218 on South Street in Philly. He was amazing as usual. Then we all hung around, watching everyone else play pool, and drinking.
Saturday, we got up at 5, and left a little before 5:30 to come back home for the H&tPs homecoming show. We should have gotten there by 11. Plenty of time. We didn't get there until 2. The show was supposed to have started at 12. We hit traffic at the George Washington Bridge. And everywhere in CT. And the Mass Pike. But I was able to make up some of the time by going 85 on 395. I ended up driving 8 out of the 8 and a half hour drive because I just wanted to get there. We missed Draco and the Malfoys. Got there as Jason Anderson was ending. Paul saw me as I was walking in. He recognized me from Philly. We met up with Mariella and James. They had managed to save us seats. Thank God. Show was awesome. After the show, I went up with James so he could get Paul and Jow to sign his CD. We went up to Paul first. He signed James CD. Then I told him it was a good show, and he asked me my name. I said Virginia. He goes "Bridget?" "Vir-gi-ni-a." "So, where are you from?" "Around here." "What were you doing in Philly??" So I told him how my friend from down there's birthday was Friday, and I had been planning on going down Thursday anyways, so when I found out they were playing there, I figured why not just go, and then we talked a little bit about how great the Philly show was. And that was that. And then we went to get Joe to sign the CD. And I told him good show, and gave him a high five, and that was that.
After the show, we all went out to get something to eat. I felt like shit. I didn't end up eating anything, because I felt like I was going to throw up, so Meg and I started walking back to my car. As we're waiting to cross some street, a van stops to let us go. And Meg tells me it was Paul. So I look back, and sure enough, there's Paul. And he waved to me, so I waved back.
I got lost trying to get home, but I managed very easily to get back on track. Be proud of me. I hate driving in Boston.
God, I have a total crush on Paul. It's bad. lmao.
I need sleep soon. I have to work in the morning, but I'm going to come back on in a bit and post the pictures from this weekend.
