For my final project in my Young Adult Literature class, I want to create a video that explores how Harry Potter has inspired people both personally and creatively. I also want to explore wizard rock, how the fandom has come together to help fellow fans, and how the Harry Potter Alliance creates parallels between what's happening in the real world and what happens in the books.
Read more about my ideas in my previous entry. All I need is for you to send in a video that's only a couple of minutes long, answering the questions below! It won't work without you!
Questions:
Please give your name (first only), any fandom name you might go by/want to share, age, and where you're from (a general location is fine, just say what state you're from.)
What house are you in?
How old were you when you first started reading Harry Potter?
How did you first get into Harry Potter/why did you start reading it?
How has Harry Potter affected your life? (did you meet your best friend because of Harry Potter? Your boyfriend/girlfriend/fiance/husband/wife? Did Harry Potter influence your career choice?)
How has Harry Potter inspired you? (are you in a wizard rock band? Do you write/draw/take photos because of Harry Potter? Do you have a Harry Potter tattoo? Do you cosplay? Is there a specific quote that inspires you day to day?)
Do you think kids will continue to read and love Harry Potter? Do you hope they continue to react to Harry Potter the way we did?
Is there anything else you want to talk about/mention?
Please send any photos you think will help! Any photos of you and your friends/SO at HP events/wrock concerts. Any pictures of you cosplaying, your art. If you have a tattoo, please send in a picture! Also, if you want, feel free to show your HP collection in your video!
If you can't send a video, just answer the questions, and send any pics you'd like. I'll try to figure out a way to include you.
The project is due April 28th, so please send all videos to hpvideoproject@gmail.com by April 16th. (I will accept late videos, though, as long as they're not TOO late!)
