(no subject)
Alright....I'm bored, so I thought I'd give my life update....seeing as how it's been almost 4 months since my last one.
Of course there isn't too much to update on. All my life consists of is work and hanging out with friends on the weekends....as long as I'm not working all weekend long, which has been known to happen.
Speaking of work, everybody's hours have been getting cut, which is balls. They hired more people over in the pet care department, so our hours went to them, which is just stupid and really unfair. And then as I said, I get kinda crappy hours. For like 4 weeks in a row I got scheduled to work friday, saturday and sunday. I'm fine if that happens every once in a while, but not every freakin weekend. Otherwise, work's alright. Just the usual stuff there, with the occasional difficult customer.
I want to start applying somewhere where I can work full time. I applied at the pet clinic at UC Davis, and I thought about applying at Wag, the pet hotel. I figured right now with my recent experience those would be good places to apply, and hopefully get hired within the next couple months. I'm tired of having no money.
My last update was right before I went to Vegas with Bam and Trev. That trip was pretty sweet. We all had an awesome time. Did a lot of gambling, and a lot more drinking. Saw the cirque du soleil show Zumanity. Pretty much a show all about sex. haha. And Trev won a jackpot of $2500...We tried to convince him to share....it didn't work.
The past couple weekend have been full of parties. Those are always fun. Drinking, music, dancing, beer pong, friends. The rest of the summer should be pretty awesome as well.
I just got back from LA today. I went to visit Jennifer for a few days, before she moved out of her apartment. It was fun filled few days too.
Tuesday we went to Venice Beach and walked all over the boardwalk and down the beach. Got a little sunburnt, but oh well. The annoying part is that it's kind of splotchy, because I missed spots while applying sun block. And then we went to Santa Monica Pier that night, walked around for a bit and then went to a pub for dinner.
On Wednesday we went to the Griffith Observatory which is in the hills close to hollywood. It was pretty cool, had an awesome view of LA....well what you could see through the smog anyway. And they had planetarium shows...which are always fun. It was a learning experience. lol. Then we did the touristy thing for a little while and went to the Walk of Fame and Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Then that night we went to a place called the Magic Castle, which was just awesome. It's like a private club for magicians. It's in this old mansion that was turned into the club with a restaurant and different show rooms that magicians perform in. Basically to get in you either have to be a member or know a member, and Jennifer knows someone who performed on the Carnival ship when she was working there, so it was cool that we got to go. I love magic, it's amazing. The people performing were obviously amazing, and really funny too. One cool thing was that there was a room with a piano that is supposedly played by a ghost named Irma...she even takes requests. It was cool. And then of course talking to all the drunk people is always entertaining. We made friends. lol.
Today we just kinda lounged until about 1ish and then spent a little while in Long Beach, played a game of bowling, before I had to catch my flight. And now I'm home.
I get to see Lion King this weekend, which I'm happy about. I'm really excited to see it again. It's such an amazing show.
And then Music Circus starts in a couple weeks. This season is looking pretty awesome. Woo! And that reminds me I have to put in at work that I need thursday nights off. Damn.
