So after he destroyed humanity, what happened to the snake? Did he just dematerialize in that patented Satanic fashion?
But anyway, to return to what I said the other day about the devil and stupid people (off whom he probably makes more money than the home shopping network):
I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that the story of Eden is based entirely on a blame the victim mentailty. Is it Eve's fault that she was tempted? Is it her fault that she didn't really know any better? Eden is not renowned for its educational facilities, and once Eve got blamed then all this oppression of women crap got started and here we are. Why did god waste all that time and effort throwing the human experiment out of the garden instead of paying attention to the major design flaw that caused the fall of man: the devil can get into paradise.
With that in mind, heaven isn't a particularly appealing option.
