It is interesting how Martha thinks it is strange that UNIT requested Jack's help, Maybe they wanted him away for something????
Thanks for sharing!

Hmmm, now how come Martha didn't know UNIT had sent Jack off to Africa ...

Because no one had told her?

I’m sure you can figure out a way to do that and still stick to your ridiculous 1940s military dress code.

...I'll just be over here with Owen, I think. {shudder}

Ahh... the battle to get Jack to dress appropriately for the desert...

Well Martha's letter certainly made things interesting.....I do love her voice, you do it really well. And I adored Tosh's letter and her hinting at venting about Jack, Gwen and Owen. I'm so in love with this story...I find myself saying okay...just one more chapter...

Thanks - I was actually really quite pleased at how the first-person-letter-writing thing worked with the characters in this one.

Martha knows Jack very well indeed! She's also aware of how much Ianto means to him. I'm sure Jack would have resorted to any underhand means necessary in order to convince Ianto to go with him.

Jack should wear shorts too - he's depriving Ianto of the chance to ogle him! I'm sure if Ianto pointed that out to him he'd be wearing shorts before Ianto could blink.

Yay for Tosh being understanding - as well as sending supplies to fix their tech devices. Something built to withstand conditions in Cardiff would not necessarily cope with extreme heat and sandstorms I guess, even if Tosh built it.
