Happy Meme: day 2
Day Two:
- Checking my email today, I found a $25 Amazon.com gift voucher! Thank you augustine!! What an unexpected show of generosity!
There seemed to be no question of what I'd buy with it. Over the last 4 days, I've had three separate recommendations to read some GK Chesterton: one from augustine himself, one from a forgotten source and one from Boyfriend's Dad. I voiced a theory last night on the way back from a party to Boyfriend, that God wants me to read some, because I'm not a big proponent of coincidences. So now that I have been given a gift voucher by my Chesterton advocating friend, I thought there couldn't be any other possible option worth taking with it. I've bought The Man Who Was Thursday and The Everlasting Man.
- Also, I went to a party last night. The first half of the party was lots of fun. I hung out with some nice people I'd only met that night and played twister (man that game is fun!). But by 10-10:30ish, the people who were drinking had started getting drunk, so Boyfriend and I busted a move to his place and watched some Bill Bailey. I'd had a fairly bleh day, but the evening really picked up, so that made me happy too!
