Making the effort to cheer myself up, even when I don't feel like it, goes a long way!

w00t. A power out in a country oh so very far away from me + a paid account + the LJ servers being down(6hrs) = 3 day extension on my paid account. w00t!

In other news, I thought I was working my last shift at work today. I woke up at 5:30 to catch the 6:10 train to the city and then Subiaco to start work at 7. Work went nice and smoothly. I started to get all irritated that customers kept coming in, but then I remembered to be patient with them and put on a happy face. So I took a big sigh and cheered myself up! =D And then they stopped coming in anyway and if I hadn't made the effort to cheer myself up, I would have worked being annoyed for no reason! So I made the bread and did some dish-washing and prepped some food all in a good mood! hurrah!

And it's not my last shift. I'm working monday night (boo), and then Wednesday again 7am - 10am (yay, short and sweet shift!) and then Saturday 7am-3pm. Until I get a new job, every Wednesday shift when Lisa does the roster and I work the open, I'll tell her if I'm available for the next week and so forth until new job crops up. I'm actually rather happy about this. It gives me more power over the shifts I work and means I'm not jobless in the in-between time.

I made dinner tonight. And that went well. Was s'getti. Nice and easy meal. Apparently, Dad doesn't actually like it (although heavens knows why, I remember having it so often in my childhood). Anyway, I'm pleased with my recent actually-living-at-home-ness. Cleaning my room, cooking food for family etc. 'Specially as Mum is on her doesn't-eat-any-food diet. w00t!
