It's cannon that Strauss calls Rossi by his full first name. Though you have a point about the first paragraph, since it's Rossi's POV, and he generally thinks of himself as Dave.

He seems to be called Dave more than David, and I figured he wouldn't think of himself as Rossi... but I guess different fans would have different names catch in their head as most fitting the characters.

Yes, Anya is Hotch's grandmother. That should be explained eventually, along with her altered history to fit the circumstances.
