I can't really write about the Berlin Wall coming down, I was 8-and-a-half and I was still so much in shock after the Loma Prieta earthquake that I felt the bed shake every night as I fell asleep, but I remember my mother crying because her father hadn't lived to see it. I feel so sorry for the kids younger than us who didn't get to grow up with successful peaceful revolution.

this one. Those poor East German child-guards (Sting apparently said they were like "virgins with guns") have realized that they don't have enough bullets to stop the crowd- and they don't want to shot anyone anyway.
