(no subject)
Hey, if you want to defriend me and find someone more interesting to follow until I finish school, I swear to god I won't even notice, so please follow your bliss. I'm so boring right now that I even bore myself. I've been contemplating how much of my daily grind to share, that is to say how much of it would implicate me to someone who knows me in RL and therefore potentially get me in trouble, and my solution to this ethical conundrum is to lock the shit that's completely unethical and illegal for me to share. YAY, CRIME!
I owe a lot of comments and betas and other junk. If it makes you feel better that I'm not out freebasing rainbows instead of giving you all your due attention: yesterday I went to bed at 8 pm after I fell asleep sitting up. I then slept through the night (for values of the night ending at 5 am as it currently does for me).

For those of your who don't read mefi, check out this thread on the Morganza spillway. Unlike most of the internet, this site has comments worth reading (usually the comments are all that're worth reading, really). So scroll down and check out the links left by people other than the OP. The mainstream coverage of this event has been on par with what we've come to expect from current day conglomerate media (here I'm talking about broadcast), so check out some print journalism. I have a lot of feelings about this situation, predictably.

You may know it's International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. Missyjack has a post here for talking about your own story. I get pretty jaded about the need for constant education and advocacy about these matters because I live in a bit of a bubble. I don't deal with people who express homophobic or transphobic views willingly and can be quite strident about this. However, because of my current school situation I've been exposed to some pretty...negative experiences of ignorant ass idiots recently, so this celebration really hits home for me. Do your thing, I'll do mine, and mine might be handing you your ass if you deserve it (probably not y'all).
