• I just wrote letters to my mom, dad and sister. It's quite sobering and my heart is a little heavy now (my family isn't in the best of all states, presently). I pray with all my heart that God would heal and mend the brokenness and the strained relationships in this household.

• Also, that the time away from each other would do some good. Wholly surrendered, truly abandoned to Jesus - I lift this into His hands, which are ever more loving than my own. He is our sovereign God.

• On a more light-hearted note (literally a note!), the above was what I wrote for Aude (my French colleague) to get for me one day during lunch. She came back with the first two, papaya and guava, and pineapple. I told her I didn't order pineapple, and she looked surprised. She retrieved the note, and she pointed to the smiley face and said, "I think this made me think of pineapple". We both exploded in laughter.

• I'm really looking forward to my trip. The plane ride alone (first time ever!), and then staying in UCL with a wonderful friend (this means lots of heart-to-heart talks, nail painting, doing masks and things like that).

• I've always wanted to travel alone, and now I've got my chance! I want to go to all the museums and see all the sights and sit in a cafe and walk along the streets and soak and bask in the English and French atmosphere and surroundings.

• Everytime I travel I experience and encounter God, see His beauty and majesty and the work of His hands... The quiet moments with Him, the joy and tears. I know no matter where in the world I am, I'm safe in His hands.

Across the earth, we see
Worshippers believe
Hear our song
Praise to our God

From dawn to dusk, we'l be
Lifting up our King
Hear our song
Praise to our God

Bringing honour to Your Majesty
There's no other like the King of all kings
