Nights with an orange light.

It's that time of the year again, the only time my mom gives me money to shop - and therefore also making it the only time I am permitted to shop freely without being informed about my bursting wardrobes (yes, I have two) and having "so many clothes already still buy buy buy!" It's that time of the year, when people I've never even seen before come into our house and gives us money, along with four-character  well wishes in Mandarin.

And besides the normal visiting and exchanging of oranges and having reunion dinners and absolutely stuffing myself with ba kwa, the above depicts what I've been up to. Frantically filling up applications for University - still not completed, though. My GPA falls drastically short; I'm all ready for interviews and appeals. I'm still learning to trust God and surrender everything into His hands. Not my will, but His will be done. In the meantime, I'll try my best - and the rest will be up to Him.

I am so good at playing hard, I didn't touch any work at all for the past four days. So I've been trying to push myself, painting in the day, and working through the night in my own room with an orange lamp. It's quite therapeutic, really, to sit cross-legged with pimple cream on my face, listening to songs through my earphones (so I don't disturb my sister who would be sleeping) and drawing compasses.

I journal, read, and pray under the glow of my orange light too.

And tonight, I'm blogging under the same light. I will end here and go work on the camp t-shirt design - another blessed night spent with an orange light.
