The theory, of course, had all been of the good. Theories usually were. Now, though, Arusha wasn't so sure. She was sitting out on the rooftop garden, in the area unofficially coined 'Magic Corner', a particularly well-warded section where arts and artifacts metaphysical were kept constrained.

She hadn't meant to scare Tant, but the Kneazle's horrified fascination with the goings on outside caused him to miss her approach. Thus her 'sudden' appearance engendered a startled hiss and a multicoloured scramble for cover under the couch.

Rak sighed, nudged the sliding door open and closed with her foot and carried two cups of coffee over to the table.

"So ... "

Arusha clicked her tongue. "You were right. It's a nasty little bugger."

She picked up her coffee. "We can most likely do it, but it's going to take time. And doing it right will take enough energy that if something goes wrong our defences will be down."

"I guess we knew it wouldn't be easy." Rak chewed her lip thoughtfully. "Mike knows Elrohir ... and presumably some of the other Rivendell Elves as well. There's Charlie ... and Bill ... "

A nod. "If I remember rightly ... it was created by a Hogwarts Wizard in behalf of the One Ring. A combination of Hogwarts and Middle Earth magic. So, therefore, a similar combination could be our best way of causing the reversal."

Arusha nodded again. The bubble containing the Ring floated to her palm, and she locked it away in a small lead-lined box. The box, in turn, was stowed away among the pots in 'Magic Corner'.

"So ... " she finished her coffee and turned back toward the house, "Let's go put the word around."
