Fortunately for me, the preschool manager was too engrossed in her credit card statement to notice that I was wet walking out the door. And that my closing paperwork was also wet. Now the events of 6:15-6:30 this afternoon can die with me.
I told my boss I'm going back to school and that my availability will change, and held my breath, expecting her to say she wouldn't be able to work with such a rigid schedule. But to my surprise she said they would be more than happy to accommodate me. However, we don't know yet if I will have to take a pay cut. If I have to drop to 30 hours at my current rate things will be very tough. If I have to drop to 30 hours at a lower rate I may just have to shelve grad school for a while.
