The letter u is the 19th letter in the D'ni alphabet. It makes a standard uh-sound, such as in cup or in luck.

We have very few examples of words beginning with u, and don't know their meaning. However, the word Uru (uru), borrowed from the Sumerian, is gaining in usage.

U is the 35th letter in the D'ni alphabet. It makes a standard oo-sound, such as in blue or in food.

Some common words beginning with U include Ulba (office), Unan (leadership) and Ulin (control).
