I had my acting final today. it was great. we were number 5 and i was like O-O It went well though. i only missed one line and you couldnt even tell cuz i improvised it. afterwards i felt as though a great burden had been lifted from my shoulders. It's too bad alicia couldnt come because, yet again, ed was wrong. outsiders WERE allowed. this one woman brought her whole family to watch her performance. it was cute tho, and she was good so im glad. everyone was good. even ed and james. the only ppl that sucked were this one group and in a way im glad they F%@Ked it up but another side tells me its not the actors fault. its the directors. my director michelle is so awesome, the scene she picked was so great but this other girl in her directing class is a snotty bitch and picked the same exact scene as my director, even after specifically being asked not to. there were plenty of unused scened and 3 plays to work from so its obvious she did it spitefully. THEN! to be an even bigger bitch. she was trying to steal our ideas. and she even went as far as wanting to use the same exact set for her people. Now that to me says shes a lazy bitch and is trying to mooch off of other peoples hard work. and to top it all off, she actually came over to us during rehearsal and asked michelle what she was having portia wear. OMG! SOMEONE SHOOT THIS BITCH! She has no artistic vision whatsoever and im so glad she failed miserably. now to the actual working of the scene. the 2 actors she had were michael and rebecca. both very nice people. especially mike, hes really cool. in the beginning of the year he lent me his jacket for a scene which i thought was really cool of him. Im sad that he had to be in this monstrosity disguised as art. fortunately he was also in another scene which he did great in so that gave him brownie points. Basically, mike carried this entire scene because the actress playing portia didnt even have her lines memorized. and she missed huge portions of her script and totally frigged up the timing of the scene. not to mention the costumes, or lack there of. when the other director came over to us that time and asked us what portia was wearing, she said she wanted a skirt with her holding sandals. well.... she was wearing capris, a sweater, and sneakers. but again, NOT THE ACTORS FAULT. my director organized everything, every director did, they picked out the costumes, the set, the props everything. I must say though, their set was done up alot better than ours. but only because we were going for the barren home look. very desolate and empty. our scene consisted of 3 wooden blocks, some loose articles of clothing, a book, some vhs takes and a chicken which was the dinner i prepared for my not so loving wife.....where was i? i always get off topic ::re-reads::hmm, i'm on topic :\. ANYWAY! I had fun doing it, the directing professor told my director to and i quote, at least as best as i can, "Do not let him leave! He's Fantastic! We must get him into the drama program!" so that made my day. I was a little upset at the acting professor tho, MY professor. she barely said 2 words to me about my performance which i thought was very rude since she said things to everyone else. well, ill show her :| anyway, its about 1 30 now and i have work in the morning so gnight
