platypus posted about A Picture A Day(ish) 2007 project and this idea interested me. After all, I am taking pictures as often as I can lately, so it would be cool to share!
But then oceanstorme revealed her prompts and that made me reconsider. As those prompts looked like some claim for art(ism) is expected, and that is not what my pictures are.
My pictures are an attempt to record my world. Sure, ideas are part of my word and I DO try to work with frames and other visual possibilities. Yet, what I do is in no way even close to conceptual art, even if I sometimes DO edit out images that do not live up for my expectations for one reason or other.
Like, what I used today is pickings from my rejects pile - cases of when I saw something that amused me, I got idea for visual presentation, yet I failed to catch the angle that would work for my eye. So - rejects. I kept them just in case that I would have the urgent need to record something and no new ideas one day, so that there would be a possibility of going through the rejects and making a trip to try for better capture.
Foreign influences - town walls or hamburgers, take your pick!
