Blackcest. Woot!

Here's my first attempt at Blackcest. I have to admit, I'm intrigued by it. Perhaps I'll write more in the future.

“For Merlin’s sake! This would work if you’d stop shaking the bed, Narcissa.”

Bella could certainly become quite cross if one did not wholly dedicate herself to these ideas of hers. Of the three Black sisters, few could deny she was the most overtly passionate about carrying out a plan once her mind was made up.

“Come on, Bella.” Narcissa yawned, arching her back gracefully. “You’ve been at this for hours and I want my rest! Besides, I’m tired of watching when nothing is happening.” She pouted, hoping it would convince her sister to leave this be for the evening. Her own expression came up short against Bella’s annoyed frown, however. There would be no appeasing Bella until she was ready to admit defeat.

Narcissa, shifting the attention from herself, reached across the bed and flicked Andromeda’s hair away from her face. A devilish smile crossed her face as she leaned over and whispered into her ear.

“You wake up too, Meda,” she teased. “No fair sleeping if I can’t.”

Andromeda responded without missing a beat. “I’m not asleep. I’m simply waiting for Bella to tire of this.”

Bella cursed under her breath and reached for a smaller quill. She knew that this could be done - she’d heard Regulus describe how Lord Voldemort could make signs appear and disappear on both paper and flesh. Of course, Regulus did have a tendency to speak too freely when given enough alcohol. Unfortunately, he also spoke unclearly and she hadn’t had a chance to question him as fully as she would have liked.

With the smaller quill, she drew another curved line down the small of Andromeda’s back. Bella ignored the gooseflesh that rose at her ministrations and made an upwards sweep with her wrist. When she was finally satisfied, she dropped the quill and grabbed her sisters’ hands and heldtightly.

“Now, both of you, concentrate,” Bella hissed. For what seemed the hundredth time, Bella and Narcissa watched the symbols carefully. This time, they did sink slowly into Andromeda’s skin. Bella’s triumphant look immediately turned sour, however, when the symbols reappeared, brighter than before on Andromeda’s tanned back.

“Damn!” Narcissa winced, pulling her hand away and rubbing it with her other one. “That hurt, Bella!”

“Fuck this,” Bella exclaimed as she tossed the quills across the room. Andromeda, who had, until now, been content to indulge her younger sister in this silliness raised herself partially off the bed. She watched Bella take her frustration out on inanimate objects until the girl fell to the floor, chest heaving and holding back tears.

Narcissa had finally had enough. “That’s it,” she announced. “It simply won’t work, Bella. You should know better than to take Regulus seriously about anything. Now, I’m going to bed. You two may want to look haggard come the morning, but I certainly do not.”

“Go then!” Bella screamed, picking up a particularly large quill from the pile on the floor and tossing it at the closing door. “We wouldn’t want you to look a fright for your precious Lucius!” Bella attempted a look of mock-horror, but succeeded only in making herself look ridiculous.

Andromeda cut in once she heard Narcissa’s own chamber door close. “Bella,” It wasn’t exactly a command, but Andromeda was using the voice she used when they were all younger. The voice that had once kept even Bella in line. Andromeda pulled her dark hair back, exposing her breasts to the eyes of her sister. “Bella, come near to me.”

Bella had a habit of approaching every situation as though she were in danger. This time, though, she practically leapt into Andromeda’s arms, wrapping her own arms around Andromeda’s waist, her ears following the rhythm of her sister’s heartbeat.

“I want this, Meda. I want to understand how it works.” Bella’s whispers, despite their ferocity, made her seem almost small.

A kind smile crossed Andromeda’s lips as she lazily rubbed her fingers up and down Bella’s arm.

“One day, Bella,” she promised. “One day.”

“You’ll help too. And even Cissa. We’ll be the most powerful witches, the three of us.” Bella was content, for now, and tilted her head upwards.

Andromeda accepted the kiss, the familiar touch of Bella’s tongue against her own leading her to deepen the kiss.

When their lips parted, Bella snuggled closer to Andromeda and finally closed her eyes. Andromeda lay awake much longer, holding her Bella and fell asleep thinking of the future.
