House on Mango Street won the poll. In the meanwhile, I've finished a few books, most notably Freakonomics by Steven Levitt. In the introduction, he claims that legalized abortion was a major factor the against all odds crime drop of the 1990's. I just finished reading A Ship Made of Paper by Scott Spencer. It's written so well that the situations the characters were in made me feel uncomfortable. I couldn't read it all in one sitting. I'd have to put it down and leave it for a few days. But I'm glad that I read it. In some weird way, it made me love my husband more.

It's refreshing to hear of a book that I haven't heard of. I think I'll look it up the next time I'm at work.

Currently I'm reading Nick Hornby's new book, A Long Way Down. Entertaining read, and what a great hook.

Also, Kite Runner affected me so much that I haven't been able to finish it. It's been...months?

When will you be online? Better yet, in town? I may be *gasp* moving.

I saw the author of Freaknomics on The 700 Club and Pat Robertson love the guy even though it sounds as The 700 Club should dislike him.

He is loved by all, and is percieved as telling the truth, rather than pandering to a certain political party.
