One week left
It's my last week in SoFL. (In an official tone) Let's make it count, everyone! I'm off Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
I don't know if I like this transfer from *Best Run Store EVER to store in transition. That's right, I finally have a transfer. After worrying over the fact that I hadn't heard anything after my request, I spoke to my SM. She told me to give the stores a call, explain that we had followed the proper channels and was curious if they were hiring.
So I called the Plaza Venezia store. Tada-it's the Store Manager's third day on the floor. Tammy was just hired, so my transfer request must have been lost in the mail. From what I gather, the store is in need of "zone maintenance, corporate/institutional sales, and experienced people". My manager (Dorie, can you believe it?) gave me a glowing review so Tammy absolutely wants me in her store; she thinks I'll be a "major player".
Honestly, it felt like my first conversations with David, when he was hiring me for Wireless Retail. So we'll see if she's good or full of it. I know I'm overreacting a tad, as there could be many reasons why she was hired and for the store's issues. Even if I'm right, I know I'll find a way to enjoy it.
It must be the irrational belief that I'd find the same synergy of friends, hard workers and "family" somewhere else.
