Well...This is my first ever entry on LJ for this account. Hopefully this one goes over much better than my last one did. I just got tired of it and with some of the people on the list, and didn't really want to go through deleting the friends and all of that nonsense...so I just started over. This one is quite nice though.
I finally figured out how to do layouts...now I just need the artistic ability to actually make them. But oh well. All in due time I suppose.
Well, let's see...where to begin. I was at the International Taiji Legacy in Arlington, TX last weekend to compete and fight in San Shou, which is like kickboxing on a raised platform, but you can do throws on it as well. I went from 225 lbs to 208 in about a month, but I still had to fight in the heavyweight category. So, I'm the youngest, smallest, and lightest person in this division, and the guy I have to fight is close to 225, stands around 6'6 or so, and is atleast 25 years old. Well, I fought, and I was able to knock him off the lei tai (platform) twice. He won the first round because of points, but I got a bunch of good hits on him and in the second round he was afraid to come in at me. What sucked about the fight was that, a month ago, I had busted my nose in class practicing. Well, he popped my nose in the exact same spot, so I started bleeding. They checked to make sure I was okay, which I was, but then they basically said the fight was over. It wasn't a TKO, but I still lost to him because I was bleeding.
That sucked ass. So the rest of the weekend, I was pretty fucking sore, and I still had a bunch of shit to do, heh. But oh well. it was worth it. I got to go to six flags too, which is the bomb. The titan r0x0rz.
So, I'm getting ready for my black sash test, which comes up on the 20th. I hope I do well. We're videotaping it and sending it to our grandmaster in China so he can review it. So, yea, I'm kind of nervous.
Oh, and don't go see the village. That movie is horrendous. I should've learned my lesson after Signs, but oh well. Harold and Kumar go to White Castle was great, and I'm looking forward to Hero, Shaolin Soccer, and AvP! ^_^
Tonight: chillin.
