Megaman ZX

So, I posted about this game a while back, mostly describing how awesome it looked.

Then my birthday came and I got a NDS and MMZX.

Then... I actually played it.

...

Frankly, it's.... amazing. Moreso than I originally thought it would be.

It's (fairly) easy to control, with customizable button setting (though changing from using 'arrow keys' and 'sdfe' in the MMZ games [movement on the right, actions on the left] to a control pad [+] on the left and action buttons in a diamond shape on the right [with L and R on the top of the console of course!] was something i had to get used to).

The music is very well done (though I don't like all of it)and each song fits each area like a glove, and some of it's really catchy!

The gameplay is sweeet, with a MMZ type feel to the game, in that all the areas are interconnected and explorable at (virtually) any point in the game (some 'areas' are blocked by doors that require keys after beating bosses), and not the old 'choose a boss, play his level' found in the Classic MM and MMX games. Much funner this way. And something new I find REALLY nifty is that (most) bosses will actually "regenerate" after a period of time since you beat them (I think after killing 4/5 other bosses) so you can fight them over and over and over and over again, and not only in the last levels of the game. :D Replay-value++. Side-quests from towns' people after various parts of the game being completed is wonderful when you want to take a break from saving people from burning buildings or being slaughtered for their 'spirit' is nice, too.

Three difficulty settings to choose from (Easy, Normal, Hard) which you really CAN tell the difference between (unlike a lot of games where it's like 'olo 50 lives for easy, 25 for normal, 10 for hard, but everything else is identical!) from enemies and bosses having new abilities (or additions to them) to taking more to kill them to... all sorts of things. :D Two different characters (male 'Vent' and female 'Aile') which each have different strengths and weaknesses as well as slightly different stories. Both add to replay value.

So, anyways. I'm on Hardmode. omfg fun. Bosses are just nuts. I mean, seriously. Insane compared to Normal mode. It took me, say, 6 'Restart from Save's (see: game over) with 7 lives on the save to beat Prometheus (intermission/half-way boss). that's, what, like ~42 attempts? My arms ached before I was finished, and I couldn't even hold buttons down, so I had to take a break! HE'S CRAZY. I really don't look forward to Pandora, or the Pandora + Prometheus fight (!!!!!!!!!!), muchless the end boss. =o

So, yah. Game == love. GET IT, PLAY IT, LURVE IT. bye.

P.S. Aile = win. FASTER DASH THAN VENTNUB, YEE YEE.

EDIT: Oh yah. I got the 0x Biometal on Normal Mode. 0x being Omega. The most badass boss in the Megaman Zero series (see movie two entries back). So fun. :)
