Keeping the 4th Day...still

Apr 29, 2005 21:23

Hey there,
Today has been awesome. I got to top if off by welcoming home the people who attended this last Kairos (14). God I feel old, having gone on Kairos 2. I'm so glad I went. Hearing everyone say what happened on the retreat really made me recall all the wonderful and awe-inspiring emotions and memories from my own Kairos. I got say hello to all my kids before I had to leave and it was just a great time. Let me just say that I want the Richards family to adopt me :) I was so moved by the ceremony, I came home and busted out my packet from my Kairos and read al the things that I had written and read. It was a very fullfilling trip down memory lane. It's something that I'll always keep. i can see the person i used to be and the one I am now, and i can say that I'm very happy with the result, and I have the retreat to thank for a lot of that.
I think reflection is a very good and healthy practice. BHS has given me so many gifts, and continues to bless me even after all this time. It sounds corny I know, but it is what it is. it's a very cool thing. I would have never expected it or come to love it as much as I do. Many curve-balls have been thrown at me in my short 23 years of life, but the one constant source of joy and happiness has been the friends that i have made throughout the ages at BHS. I love you all more than you'll ever know.
I apologize to any/all of the people who have not experience Kairos, as I gush over it a bit. I'm off. GROUP LOVE FOR LIFE!!!

Signed, David John Petersik-Noel
