Strangely disturbing

There is a consultant in the office today from the Netherlands, working on a proof of concept project for some middleware we are thinking of buying.

Somehow, he has managed to dislocate his shoulder, I think on the journey from the Netherlands yesterday. He can't move his left arm anymore, and it is getting worse as the day wears on. I gave him one of my monster-sized painkillers, someone else has fashioned him a sling, but it hasn't helped much.

Also, the proof of concept is failing. The most elementary operation is failing for mysterious reasons, and nothing else can be shown until it works because it all depends on this particular functionality.

So he is trying to diagnose this, nipping from his laptop to point at things on the projector screen, also trying to help out his own sales people (who are holding their heads in despair), meanwhile hissing in pain and yelping every few minutes.

I feel like a party to torture.
