They certainly cannot be described as pearls... nor probably as wisdom but indulge me
1) The less often that you fail, the more your failures prey on you. It used to be just part of who you were, but now that you have succeeded, not succeeding every time is suddenly a big deal.
2) Only one of the following can be maintained: the housework, or neatly-plucked eyebrows. Trying to maintain both is a path to a messy house and outrageous eyebrows. And also to being preyed on by your failures.
So: which to choose?
