Hilarity:
Our biggest referring doctor (all spanish speaking patients; MD is Cuban) was at our Christmas party last night. I ran into him en route back from the bathroom along with my boss. He was asking her how much Spanish she knew, and she replied that she didn't, but she understood fluently. I chimed in that I knew just enough Spanish to tell someone I couldn't speak Spanish.
He says, "No habla espanol?"
I retort, "Lo siento, no habla espanol. Espera un momento, por favor."
And he laughs, and tells me that my pronunciation is excellent.
A+ to me for my rocking white girl spanish.
