Jorge and I went to eat at a little diner in town. We live near a big retirement community, so the population of Huntley is largely white and elderly. The owner of the diner, an older, white man, spent the entire time in a booth across the diner, staring down Jorge and me, and got visibly upset when we were holding hands.
