(no subject)
Pina has a nasty bladder infection. We got her to the vet this afternoon (thank god) who gave us antibiotics and told us to keep doing what we're doing -- frequent potty breaks and lots of water.
Any other recommendations to make her feel better? She's obviously uncomfortable and the first of the antibiotics has hit her system and her stomach sounds out of sorts (Yes, I am the type to put an ear to my dog's belly and listen for bowel sounds; the cna course has taught me well for life). I'm mostly just pestering her to walk, drink water, and otherwise letting her sleep.
Or am I just being a helicopter parent and should just chill out?
:( :( :( :( Poor puppy. I've never been so distressed before to hear Pina crying while she's peeing, and realizing she's got blood in her urine. TERRIFYING.
