Oh how I despise getting fucked over
Yeah, the audition was terrible...
The drum kit was trashy, moving all over the place while i was playing, the cymbals were crap...and so...things started to go bad.
We went up, and there were technical issues, like...only having 2 outlets for all the amps, and distortions. So we had to wait for extension cord/power bar...and when we gottem we were rushed like crazy...meaning...no fucking soundcheck, no fucking anything. So we played...and just after the intro leading to superman (the song we practiced and worked oh so hard on)...they fucking ended it...after less than 2 minutes, while other bands got over 3. So, basically, we didnt get to play the song at all. They wouldnt even listen to it. So we walked off feeling betrayed...all that work, we didnt even get to play the song. It was total bs, but...i guess...thats the way the world works...shit happens, and you eventually get fucked over. So i guess you just cant believe in people anymore and cant even see whos going to fuck you over next, and how badly theyl fuck you over.
Our student council president, who cut us off...apologized, sincerely, but of course...doesnt help whatsoever, we didnt get to play the song we worked on. All because of fucking technicalities, not being able to soundcheck and set up before the audition, not being able to even get into the caf at the right time...not being able to play the goddamn song and not being able to get grips for the fucking bass drum.
With sigma, johnny, adam, and patrick, we did pretty well, the song went off with few hitches...all because of the rushing....johnny couldnt tune and set his distortion, and the drums were drifting from me...but im confident that we made it.
All in all, it was a pretty shitty experience. But yeah, life goes on...no point in complaining since it wont accomplish anything.
Im not pissed off at anyone anymore....im just a little disappointed.
We got gayed...
But i guess we'll get them next time.
