(no subject)
The past couple of weeks have been AMAZING :-) And i thought my summer would "end" after paris..WRONG. To highlight (since it's summer, i don't keep track of the days of the week...haha):
-San Diego Zoo with sean. We had such an awesome time! I've only been to the zoo once when i was about ten--and it was the Santa Ana zoo, which does not compare. Sean learned how to talk to the gazelles! (he just made lots of farting noises, believe it or not).
-Lots of beach and body boarding: i LOVE it when the wave brings you all the way to shore! The best moments were when they brought BOTH sean and myself into shore, side by side.
-Michael caldwell's coming home party. It's great to see how we've all changed but are still the same. When i entered the room, there were so many familiar faces from three years ago. Mike asked me if i remembered who 'that guy over there' is and it took me a while to say, "Chris Castille!" They all were mad/offended that i said that--it turned out to be eddie baker! He changed so much i still didn't believe it was him after everyone told me. Lots of good food, delightful stories, and guitar hero!
-Filming in the back of Albertsons/Starbucks with Andrea, E, J. We didn't even need music to rock out :-)
-Baseball w/ high school friends @ fvhs baseball field. So I was told there'd b girls there , but when i arrived, there were twelve guys and no girls in sight--except for me. I was embarrassed to be there for some reason. they all looked so tall/big and intimidating from afar. But as i got closer, they weren't all that scary :-) I sat there for about 30-40 minutes before lani came and saved me from my shyness. On my first bat, my ball hit noah's little brother in the face and made him cry!! I felt so bad and later came up to the poor boy and rubbed his face (was going to kiss it since little kids seem to think that kisses make booboos go away...but then came to my senses that that may make him even more embarrassed). Afterwards, i hung out w/ lani for a while . We don't get to hang out much so when we do, even if we're not doing anything much, i enjoy every minute! She's so wonderful.
-Miniature golfing w/ the girls and Barrett. It was my FIRST time ever. SO MUCH FUN!! I've always thougt that all you do is hit the ball in the hole and all that's involved is this little piece of fake green grass. however, i was WRONG. i love the elaborate 'stations' and levels. I ended up winning (although i now realize that the scores taken at the end were wrong...i didn't even try and we all cheated i think. I shouldn't have won)
-Downtown Disney! Even though we missed the fireworks, we had a splendid time videotaping each other's goofiness. My favorite was the lego store where we dressed up in midieval times clothing and fought each other to the death :-)
-Hanging out at my grandparent's place with my family. I love my little cousins !! so huggable.
Other than that, i've been doing a LOT of reading for my history class. I love reading so i don't mind :-)
