I don't say this often for fear of offending people, but I speak from experience when I say that Catholicism can really stick. Even only growing up on the periphery and later denouncing it all, the imagery and mythology and the dark, voodoo-like ritualism get into your bones and they are very, very hard to shake.

My dirty secret: This is why writing porn requires scotch. XD

Thank you though. This one got away from me in that it was supposed to just be a dirty little thing and ended up full of crazy imagery and disjointed perceptions and dreams of furious, marauding angels and the OP never said anything so I can only assume it was TOTALLY NOT WHAT THEY WANTED, but I'm actually pretty happy with it.

Thing is, it IS kind of porn. But it's also cracked-out and disjointed porn, and yeah, it's much much MUCH more about what's going on in his head than anything else. Which, with Ror, is such a scary place to be in these circumstances.

Amazing as always. Your imagery is always spectacular and this is no exception. I was literally cringing while reading this, it just communicates sensations and feelings that well.

Wow, thank you, that really means a lot to someone as imagery-and-description driven as me haha.

God. How painful and lovely and heartbreaking. Poor Rory. Is it bad that this made me think of 'that scene' in Little Children?

I haven't actually seen Little Children! I know, I know, I'm a terrible fan. D:

But yeah. Painful is the word, mostly. But a little hopeful too, in that he's starting to let himself be reshaped into something that can accept these things, as much as it hurts.

Do it. I cannot recommend it enough. I wasn't expecting much aside from JEH's performance, which I heard in advance was phenomenal (I wasn't wrong) but the whole film is great. Also from a shipper's standpoint I was like !!!! PATRICK WILSON. WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE. It's like some horrible AU.

That's what I love about it. It's not just AHHHH BAD WALTER--there's a note of redemption there.

I am a redemption whore. There is nothing that sucks me in like a character being able to find their way back up from horrible depths. I don't know why.

He's leaning over now, nuzzling in, nose and mouth burying into the darkness of sweat and delicately curled brown hair - fingers clutching fabric where it bunches around Daniel's thighs, at the sweat that seeps up through it, the cloth just another kind of skin, shedding and shed and forgotten.

Hgnnnnnnn.

I mean, uh, awesome fic.
