So part 2 was a very special date with a very special guest, PHOEBE LIM! :) Shu hasn't seen her in a few months, and neither have I! And she's been jetting all over the place (quite literally, korea and thailand in 2 weeks) for ballet ballet ballet. Just non-stop back to back dance activities. Everything just fell into place, I randomly messaged her one evening and asked her out with Shu and I, and VOILA LO AND BEHOLD, her teacher just happened to cancel ballet classes for the day :)
I brought them to Food For Thought and later, Phoebe brought us to Tom's Palette for ice cream!
red velvet! I think this cake isn;t very common at cafes, so it'll be good to try it at least once. Its cream cheese icing, and the cake is really moist and dense. It's actually sort of like a heavy butter cake, with a little cocoa powder in it and its stained red either with red coloring or beetroot (this is originally how they make it but I;m not sure what they used with this one)
Brownie cup is a must try dessert here! MUSTTTT!
Tom's palette! $2.50 for a small cup and you get to mix any two flavours. This month they have a special called Balsamic Jinegar, and yes it is made with balsamic vinegar, and vanilla icecream. Its really really good, a little tinge of salt, and it's really refreshing! Other flavours to try: Lychee and rose, red date and longan, granny's favourite (STRONG HORLICKS TASTE!)
You get to sample any flavour you want, and don;t feel shy about asking to try because they are really really helpful and really happy to help you decide!
Apart from the food, it was just really nice having Phoebe around again. I haven't met her in almost 4 months, and so much has been happening for the both of us. Tuition got cancelled so I got to spend the whole afternoon, 1-7pm with Pheobe and Shu and we had so much to talk about and so much to say. But all in all, it was just a very happy day for the 3 of us :)
very very very happy.
thank you guys for the lovely afternoon :)
