Help with CSS!

Aug 22, 2006 22:05

If you guys are wondering why I've been quiet lately, it's because my university opened for the semester on Monday, and I've been too busy being a wide-eyed freshman. Well, at least in the mornings- during the afternoon it's more like squinting in an attempt to not scorch my retinas just from the glare of the Californian sun. Oh, how I miss the cloud (OK, more like smog) cover of Bangkok. It's really weird actually being able to see the sky.

Anyway, I've had my current layout for half a year already, and I'm itching for a change. But I can't figure out how the CSS overrides for S2 styles work. All I've ascertained so far is that normal CSS codes (like the ones you may use for S1) don't really work.

This is a plea for help to those of you on my flist who are more tech or LJ savvy than myself: what sort of language/ codes does the S2 system use? Is there a tutorial for it? I've tried to follow the information on s2howto, but only ended up with a headache. I'll thoroughly appreciate any help you can give.

Incidentally, I just finished watching the pilot episode of Vanished for, like, the third time. It hasn't gripped me yet, but I am curious to see how the plot develops, and I like the myriad of sudden twists and turns packed into the first episode alone. Plus any footage of Gale Harold is good. I love House and CSI: Vegas, and his character seems like an emotionally wracked mix of Dr. Gregory House and Gil Grissom.

In case you didn't know, you can now view the pilot episode over at Yahoo or the official Fox website, as well as some additional supporting video clips (like Judy Nash covering Senator Collin's wedding to Sara, and his re-election). If you're really interested in the story and are not just watching because of a certain speshul someone (I know there must be a few of you out there, don't lie ^_^ besides, I totally understand, and I probably wouldn't have been as keen to see it if it weren't for a certain hunky ad exec FBI agent *whistles innocently*).

*wobbles happily*
