NaNo Update & Merlin S4
NANO UPDATE
I am now up to 7,062 words on my original NaNo fic. Holding steady and keeping on schedule, writing-wise, which I feel is better than expected since I'm also working on my xmenbigbang at the same time, plus co-writing another Erik/Charles AU and helping out on a Thor/Loki fic.
Am not so much ambitious, as "gets easily excited by different projects".
The actual plot of the NaNo is still in the meandering phase. Four lady superheroes who may or may not be working as a team, depending on whose turn it is to put the coffee on, and one dude who started out as a kidnapping victim and stubbornly lingered. It's gone a bit ~mythological at the moment. Also, I've written from all their POVs now (third-person, though) but I suspect I'll settle on two, because POV-hopping drives me bonkers as a reader.
MERLIN
I was all mad for Merlin during Season 1, but got put off it at some point in Season 2. I'M BACK NOW THOUGH, HELLO AGAIN MY BEAUTIFULLY HOMOEROTIC AND SWEETLY RIDICULOUS SHOW ♥
Love the more ensemble feel of the Knights situation. THEY'RE ALL SO LOVELY. I'm particularly partial to Gwaine; while Arthur/Merlin remains my OTP, I can totally ship Gwaine/Merlin. And Lancelot/Merlin. Because I know I'm meant to believe he's all courtly in-love with Gwen, but the way they structured 4x02 left me with the unshakable impression he did what he did at the end for Merlin.
Also, is it just me or has every episode in this season so far been like something straight out of a fanfic plot? (I'm not complaining, not at all.) OMG ALL THE FANSERVICE. Like, even my very active imagination never thought to hope for a scene in which Merlin pulls Arthur's pants down using magic and proceeds to roll around the floor with him, including a shot in which Merlin's legs are up in the air, while the royal councilors look on like bemused and totally not surprised uncles. I'm still not entirely convinced that scene really happened.
SO EXCITED FOR THIS WEEK'S EPISODE. please let that thing happen wot we think will happen.

Merlin Season 4 = Season of the Shirtless Arthur, y/y? Seriously, did Bradley James spend whole days without a shirt on? EVER SINGLE EPISODE so far (and including the upcoming one, apparently) has involved a scene in which Arthur was shirtless, pantsless, or both.
