sweet new show, dear hawaii five-oh
I've lately been playing in a number of old fandoms, namely 'Sherlock' (the BBC modern adaptation) and 'Doctor Who'. Adam Lambert is busy recording his new album, anyway, so it's natural to put that fandom in the backburner because I am like a toddler who needs constant stimulation.

Steven Moffat tweeted a pic with the caption "it begins". Someone announced that they'll start filming in two weeks.
CONGRATULATIONS to Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman on their BAFTA nominations! Sorry Matt Smith, I love you but I love these two just a smidge more.

That said, yay new season! Can't wait for Neil Gaiman's episode ♥
The Hobbit
SO EXCITED OMG. Middle-Earth is the home of my heart; I was in tears by the end of that first behind-the-scenes vid posted by Peter Jackson. As if this return is not glorious in its own right, MARTIN FREEMAN AS BILBO AKFJLAJALAG (#holyfandomcrossover). Ian McKellen and Hugo Weaving and Andy Serkis and many other familiar faces \o/
And THEN, I got curious about this show that my good friends on twitter were flailing about. I went into Hawaii Five-O (2010) knowing that it's cracky and slashy and kinda heavy on the explosions, and the show did not disappoint on these accounts. Still, I expected to be bored after a few episodes - but the character dynamics really work, and then I grew stupidly fond of the whole thing. I'm really not into muscled guys, my type tends towards tall and lean I'm looking at you, Benedict Cumberbatch BUT OMG STEVE AND DANNY ARE SUCH DORKS.
Watched all twenty episodes over the course of last week, and tonight saw my first episode on TV. Not bad, some good parts (STEVE AND DANNY SITTING ONNA BENCH. Seriously, there was no reason for this, so I've decided that Danny didn't want to sit on sand and Steve was indulging him) but not gonna lie, the best part was PROMO FOR NEXT WEEK'S EPISODE OMG OMG OMG.
