A mixture of joy and sorrow
Wee.. Greater Manchester Youth Symphony Orchestra concert yesterday, went pretty well from what I've percieved. (yay!) No Major mistakes, although sitting around watching Suzanne Barr talk was a wee bit boring... I couldn't sit still.. hehe. And Piano-Boy's concerto, hmm.. I really don't like Mozart.. it's all the same (most of his pieces), but still Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is still one of a kind... (a.k.a. Lucritive easy music), but anyways back to piano boy... he could've done better, but I really liked his cadenza, really reminded me of mine...haha.. a brief little pause in the middle that could lead a musically-uneducated croud to applause (it's happened before to me...hehe I loved it!), so great cadenza, but piece.... please choose something more less generic!! (to use the terms of the oh sooooo mighy Suzanne (mine) hehe...)
Smetana.. good speed, nothing that bad I can pick on (because if there probably was, I forgot... whoops). I liked it... to me it was the most exciting, other than Mars which we drone g, or C half the time. (haha... always fun!) Wee... Smetana... another good composer with great works.. like Dvorak and umm... Ravel. (Gotta love his Bolero and Pavane for the Death of a Princess) Now... for Holst... We basically showed the piece who's their Daddy...haha.. nothing much to pick on... but one thing....CUT OFF THE LAST NOTE!!!!!! Haha... soo nitpicky sometimes, and soo lazy othertimes... gotta love it!
Oh dear... afterwards... spent 2424252412514 minutes waiting for Mia/Maria to show up... don't know what happened, but whatever. Then took another 20240284 minutes (yes, I counted both) trying to decide where to go, Hmm... Chilli's or The Back Room (The Puritan), we eventaully decided on Back Room, it had nice food, but our bill... oh dear... it was HUGE!!!! A number, that I'll not say, but hell, it made me broke so now I'm out of money and can't do anything... fun eh? haha... then again, I tend to waste money sometimes (whoops) hehe... time to be the conservative (money-wise) little me when I was a wee lad... time to save up for something really special!! (No, I'm not telling you guys what it is)...
Well, off to study for Midterms/Finals... if I keep my grades where they are... I might only need to take 2 finals!!(That'll be super great!!) Well, I guess this is it.
