Hey guys, I wanted to ask you for a quick and easy favor concerning a scientific study I'm working on here at UC San Diego. Some colleagues and I are trying to build a statistical model for the words that people use to describe music. As part of our experiment we have devised a website that plays music for you and asks you to fill out a form based on the words you might use to describe the song. We're releasing this study to the public and trying to get as many of our friends and family to fill them out. If you could log on and fill out the form for a few songs it would really help me out in a big way!
If you could:
1) check out the experiment website at
http://cosmal.ucsd.edu/cal/friends/.
2) Register with unique a user name (e.g. DavidRocks123)
3) Answer a few questions about your musical background
4) Listen to some music!
Once you've registered, you can log on again at any time and pick up where you left off. If you can do just 2 or 3 songs that would be great. If you can do 5 that would be excellent! If you have any more questions about what it all means, how it really works and what, exactly, we're doing here... please get in touch. Also feel free to mail me back with any comments concerns ,etc.
Repost this to your friends if you can! Thanks so much for helping me out!
Peace,
David
