So listen, Friday night I was a stage-hand for Fall Out Boy. Some idiot paid me $20 bucks for the set list. Anyway, below are some reasons why I don't care about this at all, and neither should you:
1) If you know me at all, you know my favorite drummer is Neil Peart. He's the drummer for Rush. He's amazing. Regardless of whether you like Rush as a band in general or not.. it's indisputable that he's one of the greatest drummers who will ever walk the face of this earth. Period.
2) Saturday night, Rush came to the Ford Ampitheatre. I thought about buying a ticket for $80+ dollars, but I could definitely not swing that.
3) Instead, I got to watch Rush, namely Neil Peart and Getty Lee, play an amazing set.. FOR FREE ..and after they were finished I went backstage and got paid $16.80 an hour to be a stage-hand for them.
4) Then I partied like a Rockstar.
5) yes, this is all true, and yes, it was better than you can appreciate.
