I can't believe I finished this all in one day! I really must have been inspired. (Hooray for prompts!)

OMGOMGOMG This is amazing. I've read it through three times now and I'm still not sure where to start gushing.

which he didn't even know was something girls did outside of his mother's romance novels. Not that he ever read those. Ever. When they're the only books in the house, you have to read something. Don't be ashamed, Eli, I know lots of boys who've read their moms' trashy novels! XD

He wakes up in his bed, alone in the dark, with a hard on, confused and distressed and, hello, frustrated. That last part sounds just like Eli! Ah, the greatness you have going on here~

"Oh no?" Rush asks, glancing at him, "watch me." Rush is so spiteful! I think poor Eli might have hurt his feelings by betraying him. :(

"We're not exploding," TJ says, "so it can wait." Scary!TJ mode! She's so awesome, you write her brilliantly.

Well, duh, of course, because obviously, it couldn't be him. It can't ever be him. Poor Eli! :,( He's just so awesome and no one seems to appreciate that.

She looks at Eli once, smiling a brief, slightly embarrassed smile, showing that she is still completely clueless about his feelings towards her. As if things weren't bad enough for Eli! Poor Chloe is so clueless. She has got to be the only person who hasn't noticed.

He feels a sharp pain in his chest, and it's weird because all those times he's heard the expression 'breaking my heart' he never realized it would actually, physically hurt. And it hurts like a bitch. I don't even know what to say. This broke my heart so much, it is such a wonderfully painful line.

"Oh. Oh," she says. "Oh, Eli." D,:

He starts crying, again, and TJ wraps her arms around him, and she's crying too, and all the colours in the world are running, and running out, and leaving everything black. This has got to be one of the most beautiful lines on the planet.

I feel like such a terrible for person for wanting Eli!angst, but that's probably because you wrote it so well. I don't even know what to say besides I'm so, so happy you wrote this. It's brilliant and I love it more than anything.

Eli!angst seems totally necessary sometimes. It's fun, but not fun, maybe more cathartic. I have to admit, as much as I love Eli (and I love Eli to squishy little bits), I completely enjoyed torturing him in this fic! *eg* Your prompt rocked. And thank you so much for the lovely comment! ♥

...I'd be Rush's friend. He's a male version of my best friend, only, he doesn't hit people when they piss him off (though he probably wants too...)

I know what you mean. Eli is just so easy to write angst for, mostly because he's pretty open and so sweet. Schadenfreude makes me have to torture him, even though he's my favourite.

I'm glad you liked my prompt, I love this fic! I had to censor myself from gushing too much. >.>
