boredom reigns
im soo fucking bored. i literally have nothing to do and its so cold outside that i don't really want to do anything. fuck im such a hermit.
and today is an extra special reminder of more reasons not to go outside as it is inaguration day! wooo hooo! another 4 years of hell await.
the protesting and resistance going on in DC today has been insane. of course none of the news channels covered it but mad shit was going down. i guess eventually ABC showed some footage of protesters tearing down and busting through these 16 fences the Po had set up all over the place.
that must have been such a rush. it makes me remember some of the really awesome protests i have been to. when you do things like that, when you defy authority and take back the streets like that, its such an amazing, empowering feeling. you feel so invincible. ill never forget the picture in my mind of the cop car stranded amidst a sea of people marching in New York last year. it was amazing.
if only i could feel a little bit of that in my own everyday life...
