God, people piss me off so much. It's probably because I'm still a teenager, but I just have so much anger directed at so many people for what would seem like the slightest little things.
For instance, last night mum and dad had some friends over, I had some music playing, and dad's friend said it was "crap". Then, my dad started making fun of me for liking what I like, demeaning my taste in music and so on by making jokes. These little things just made me furious. Adults assume that when you are still a "child" (at least in their eyes), you don't know what you like, and whatever you feel strongly about now is just a little phase that you're going through. They are so demeaning in their attitude, reveling in the idea that they know better, and that you will "grow out of it" some day. Just thinking about it makes me blind with rage. Who I am and what I like is very real and very significant, and I'm too old to still be going through phases which completely consume me. I think of myself as an adult, but it is clear that my dad does not.
This brings me to another point - people who are elitist about everything. People who take the things that they like and turn them into ways to attack others. Saying "I liked ____ first, and I liked it in a different way than you, you are silly and cannot even begin to fathom my deep and intelligent taste for ____." The object in question doesn't even have to be anything important. It can be something like a hairstyle. And the elitist individual believes that they are a special, unique snowflake who has somehow earned the right to shun everyone else by being super individual and totally awesome. Fuck you all. You people exhaust me. I don't even have the capacity to be this angry all the time, but I still feel it on a regular basis.
